Trial Story Intake

Share a Trial Story

You fought it, you won it, and nobody outside that courtroom has any idea what it took. That is exactly the story we want. Public defenders, private defense attorneys, investigators, and legal workers: bring us the trial.

Privilege and ethics first. Pitch concluded cases or matters already on the public record. Do not send privileged client confidences, sealed material, or anything from an active proceeding you are still litigating. You know the rules better than we do. Apply them.

Tell us what happened

Use the official ANG story form to tell us about the case, the defense, the turning point, and the verdict. Brief answers are fine. Nobody is grading your essay.

Put "N/A" on anything that does not apply, and use the final question for anything the form forgot to ask.

What the form asks for

So you know what you are walking into before you click:

  • Your name, office or firm, email, and phone
  • The charges and what your client was actually facing
  • The prosecution's theory, and where it started falling apart
  • Investigation, experts, and how you built the defense
  • Pre-trial hearings, motions, and negotiations
  • Jury selection, opening, cross-examination, and closing
  • Deliberation, the verdict, and your client's reaction
  • The weird human moments: the judge, the prosecutor, the witness nobody expected
  • Recording logistics, mic and headset, and your availability

What makes a great episode

The verdict is the ending, not the story. What we actually want is the part where the state's case had a hole in it and you were the only person in the room willing to put your hand through it. Give us the cross that turned, the exhibit that backfired, the moment you knew. Personality counts. So does the dog you picked up on the way back from the prison visit.
